Well, AEW owner Tony Khan meant it when he commented on wrestlers having better schedules following the Double or Nothing PPV. All Elite Wrestling is certainly WWE’s largest competitor right now, offering higher salaries and a lighter schedule to wrestlers while giving the fans more entertaining content, and a more diverse roster at the same time. When asked about the schedule and pay of wrestlers, this is what the President of AEW had to say:

“I don’t wanna run down guys with too many dates or too much time on the road. I feel really positive about what we’re doing in terms of taking care of the guys. We have great management and the guys we’re focusing on, Cody and the Young Bucks, they are very, very hands-on with the talent. And I’m sure, for us, the kind of people we’re bringing in, they’re gonna contribute to the company in a number of ways. I think that, yeah, there is a package, a competition package, and a health care package that could be available.”

When Cody talked about better salaries and a brighter, more secure future for the pro-wrestlers, it was believed that the EVP of the company was just talking about the promotion up. The figures, however, seem to back up his claim, bringing AEW across as a legitimate option not just for the fans, who are fed up of the predictable booking patterns of WWE, but also the wrestlers, who are guaranteed to have better pay for a lighter schedule, along with health care.

The most successful AEW wrestlers have multi-million dollar contracts, and even though the “sport” may not be as popular as it was earlier, wrestlers still can make a fortune. Check out the net worth of Young Bucks here.

Most of the wrestlers have a 3-year contract with AEW. Though AEW has not released any statement about the salary of their superstars, the list above was made by thorough research and careful observation of various rumors, interviews, and podcasts. Some of the salaries mentioned above will be what the superstar will be getting per year for the duration of their contract. Some professional wrestlers make more money than others due to their mainstream appeal. Working in movies, TV shows, or getting sufficient screen time is what a talented superstar needs to become a household name. Once that happens, it is these superstars who draw the fans into the stadiums for every event, this being the main reason for their fat paycheck. Though any wrestler on AEW will earn handsomely, it is not easy to become a pro-wrestler at all, leave alone the chance of getting into AEW.
